Thank you to everyone who supported our Good Business Forum on Friday 30 August 2019.
In total we raised over $80,000, equating to around 80 scholarships, which is an outstanding result.
This event continues to highlight just how talented and inspiring our scholarship recipients are, with Western Chances Ambassador and alumni Julia Truong as our MC and a moving story told by current scholarship recipient Jesse. Keynote speaker, ABC journalist Virginia Trioli, entertained us with her own story, demonstrating the importance of influential teachers, mentors and work opportunities.
Sincere thanks to major event sponsors Netflow and Evolution Rail for their generous sponsorship.
Thanks also to our volunteers who helped make the event happen and the wonderful donors of our major lottery prize:
- Gabi and Simon Gray
- Virgin Australia
As well as our generous raffle prize donors:
- Chef Rosa Mitchell from Rosa’s Canteen
- John and Anne Mackinnon
- Village Cinemas Gold Class
- Patrick Flannigan
- Melbourne Theatre Company
- Schwartz Media
Many thanks to Printing Intelligence who donated the design and artwork.
And a big thanks to our scholarship recipient, alumni and nominator tables sponsor The Good Business Foundation.
Funds raised helps us help young people in Melbourne’s west to complete their education and meet their potential.
