The Scholarship Team for Advice and Review (STAR) is a Western Chances board sub-committee made up of scholarship recipients and alumni that assist Western Chances to achieve its strategic goal of ensuring the organisation remains relevant to young people.
STAR ensure that Western Chances is meeting the needs of young people by;
Providing information on the issues most important to young people, particularly in Melbourne's western suburbs, to identify key considerations for the Western Chances Board;
Suggesting improvements to and providing constructive criticism on the current scholarship process and Links Program opportunities, in order to assist Western Chances to make informed decisions about the future service model; and
Providing opinions on matters as requested by Western Chances.
STAR is not a decision making body of Western Chances. The purpose is to provide advice and information to further Western Chances' decision making.
